    Description

Crushed Dom Doum  Healthy Egyptian Fruit
    دوم مصري مجروش
    Description
(Dom palm) is one of the date-palm sorts, which grows on the palm tree. Fresh fruit pulps used for food, but most fruits are dried and can be used as a spice. Usually dried doum fruits are chopped to make a drink, which has unique taste and flavor and health benefits..
How to prepare as a juice
The dom is soaked in water for 6 hours or more and stirring from time to time. If it is hot, after an hour it is preferred to put it in the refrigerator.
Then it is put on fire to heat only, and don't let it boil because it tastes bitter, a move just to sterilize.
Quench the fire and sweeten it with sugar, and the amount of sugar according to desire.
We leave it to cool and then filter it with a narrow-hole strainer .. The spoil is not harmful and can be eaten because the sprout is already eaten, meaning that the juice if it is not clear then this does not mean that it must be filtered again.
Keep it in the refrigerator, preferably soon, it is better to be fresh, because it is very perishable.
    Egyptian tombs
Doum palm was considered sacred by the Ancient Egyptians, and the seed was found in many pharaoh's tombs. On September 24, 2007, it was announced that a team of Egyptian archaeologists led by Zahi Hawass, discovered eight baskets of 3,000-year-old doum fruit in King Tutankhamun's tomb. The fruit baskets were each 50 centimetres high, the antiquities department said. The fruit are traditionally offered at funerals
